Adventuring through the philosophy and theology of play and its importance to children we will examine the life-long needs, application and impacts.  Considering a range of practical approaches to creative spirituality this module will offer learners a space to develop understanding of the important principles as well as practical creative responses of fun, learning and imagination.

FAQs

What is a CYM Certificate?
If you choose to submit the assignment you will get a certificate of achievement from CYM, levelled pass, merit or distinction as well as more detailed feedback on your marked assessment.

Will I get university credit?
No, unfortunately not this year. CYM is changing its validation to Newman University for 2021, and our previous partner is not able to accept new registrations. It might be possible to formally submit your assignment in future years and get credit then, as a stand alone module, or as part of a CYM BA or MA course, but we are not able to guarantee that.

A successful assignment will serve as an equivalent qualification to enter our BA or MA course next year, subject to other application procedures, and other colleges might accept this, but you will need to check with them.

What does level 4 and 7 mean?
Level 4 is the equivalent of 1st year of a BA course.
Level 7 is the equivalent of an MA module.

What Covid arrangements are in place?
We use Trent Vineyard’s conferencing facilities, and they take Covid security very seriously. We will provide specific details and information ahead of your course when specific procedures are known.

It is possible that some of the courses will move online if we are not able to run them face to face, but that will vary for each module. You will be advised as early as possible of any adjustments.

How do I get to Trent Vineyard?
Trent Vineyard is easy to get to by car and public transport. Their web site gives directions and you will be given more details ahead of the course about reaching it by public transport. There is a tram stop very close.
Trent Vineyard: Unit 1, Easter Park Lenton Lane, Lenton, Nottingham NG7 2PX

Is food and drink provided?
You will need to make your own arrangements for food and drink. There is a cafe on site (subject to Covid restrictions) which sells drinks and light lunches. There are shops and a burger van nearby if you are driving. Otherwise you should bring your own food.

Is there accommodation available?
You will need to make your own arrangements if you are needing to stay overnight. The centre is easily accessible by public transport which opens up a range of hotels and other accommodation options in the city.

I’ve got other questions. Who can help me?
Please contact our administrator, Jacqui, who will be able to help
