FOUNDATIONAL TRAINING FOR VOLUNTEERS AND YOUNG LEADERS: EQUIPPING WHERE IT MATTERS
Engage: Youth ministry provides you with the understanding and skills you need to be a qualified youth support worker, and the opportunity to put this learning into practice by drawing on the volunteering or part-time work you are engaged in. You can also undertake advanced units in Detached work and work with young people not in Education or Training.
Engage: Children’s ministry gives you the chance to transform your understanding of working with children and families, and the opportunity to gain SkillsActive recognition in Playwork. Engage:CM also covers the Core Skills for children’s work set by the Churches Consultative Group on Ministry Among Children.
Enable provides specialist training for specific roles. CYM works in partnership with schoolswork.co.uk to deliver Enable:Schoolswork the UK’s first formal qualification in voluntary work in schools and colleges. This course is ideal training for volunteers and workers in schools work organisations, as well as for ministers and lay people who regularly visit and support work in schools.
